This album has always been underrated, in my opinion. I think it's a masterpiece, high class. And Quatermass are one of the most original progressive bands among the "unknowns" of prog; and also one of the greatest regrets in the prog scene, after such a dazzling debut like this they disappeared into thin air. I really enjoyed the review.

Opinions. Anyway, the genius of the Floyd is neither Waters nor Gilmour; it’s Barrett. In any case, the solo careers of Gilmour and Waters are somewhat equivalent; both began with terrible stuff and then released good albums, including this one (in the case of Waters) and On an Island (in the case of Gilmour). The narrative that Waters' solo career is more loaded with originality, ideas, and art is not true; Gilmour also has good ideas, he is simply more formal than Waters, so it always seems like he’s making the same song.

It's a long discussion, we'll continue it on MSN; I'll just give you an introduction: power metal is (like AOR, pomp rock, nu metal, progressive metal (for the most part at least), and nu prog) a genre that doesn't interest me, lacking dignity or reason to exist. The only power band that has a reason to exist is Rainbow; the rest is just banality, fantasy drawings, and generally music that exists for its own sake, that doesn't innovate, that doesn't experiment. I repeat once again that for me music is art, and art is creation and invention. Not banality and recycling. This is how I see it, then hey, opinions, amen.

no judgment, my opinion, you learn to respect it as I respect yours, even though I keep my own dear tight...

I would like to understand one thing: is the song from their film trailer in here? Because we don't know what it's called, where it comes from, if it exists or if it's just an illusion!

Secondly, it would be dignified on your part to verify your identity; it's very clear that you are a user of the site.

Actually, you’re mistaken: I don’t think that way at all. The Toto make "objectively" poor quality music, in my opinion. I don’t even like them, but that’s another story. If I found their music to be of quality and didn’t like it, I wouldn’t listen to it, but I would certainly admit the quality of their proposal. I completely disagree with your reasoning about "originality" and "experimentation"; first of all, it’s important not to confuse the two, and secondly, for me music is primarily an ART, and in art, the most important thing is to create, invent, experiment; I find a record in which a group has attempted experimentation much more interesting than a record where the group makes quality music that has been overplayed for twenty years and is not very original. Every group should have its own artistic path and discourse, in my opinion. Otherwise, it’s not art, it’s not music. Then there are groups like Toto that not only do not attempt experimentation, but they produce music they’ve been making for twenty years, and they do it poorly. Of course, music is personal, but at least I always try to analyze with a critical eye what I listen to; sometimes what I like doesn’t coincide with musical quality, but I don’t care. Scaruffi is a critic; it’s obvious that he schematizes and divides into "good" and "bad": in any case, to define this as "a masterpiece of music" I find simply indefensible: I may disagree on whether it’s a good album or not, but this is not a masterpiece. It innovates nothing, proposes nothing new: masterpieces are something else. If we need to talk, you’re the first one who has been a know-it-all; you’re the first one to have established good and evil: "they are great musicians, and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know a damn thing about music."

I can’t even imagine what the next one will be like if it includes two of the biggest musical plagues of the century, namely Blind Guardian and Pain of Salvation.
