Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory
Voto:
In the sense that in the music of Dream every instrument score is the main protagonist of the song... what arrangement is needed? Everything that surrounds the music and acts as a sort of "arranger-protagonist" is the Keyboard. Realize this by listening to songs like: Another Day, The Spirit Carries On, Through Her Eyes... GOT IT EASY... then if you want (and I'm sure you do) to rebut and say that my statements are a pile of nonsense, feel free...

Easy---but what are you babbling about????? You just dissed a legendary album like "Scenes from a Memory"....do you realize that? I mean, the very fact of criticizing an album like this is a crime punishable by death....and then you say that "the arrangements of their songs are the whole song in the end," the truth is their songs are so perfect that they don't even need an arrangement....

Jamie, you're really going on about the uselessness of Dream Theater... instead of trashing this band (actually the leading group in the world when it comes to prog metal!!!), why don't you argue with those who claim that Linkin Park are the foremost representatives of modern metal... like I did the other night in a chat... fight for good music... don't tear down the real artists. I hope you understand what I meant...

I have always hated disco music... actually, I hate all the rap and R&B music they play on MTV... instead, I adore real music, music played from the soul... like jazz and progressive and many other divine styles!

Yeah, Dominici left a bit to be desired, but it wasn't really a total disaster... he had a somewhat shaky voice, don't you think?

Yes, Dominici wasn't great, he was (perhaps) a bit good... otherwise why would they have fired him, right? I hope you liked my review... it's the first one I do on De-baser..

Sorry editors, but did you receive my review of Dream Theater? I sent it a week ago and still haven't seen it on the site... I hope to see it soon... I know your work is hard... I don't want to rush you! Thanks anyway!

Alright... so we’re on the same page!!!... at the live shows, you can't explain their mess… I downloaded almost the entire concert of the System at the Reading Fest… they were really terrible there!!! The drummer was incredibly good… you’ve never seen such talent and such a mess on stage, or rather, in a band!!! Isn’t that true?

I wanted to make an exclamation point: DO NOT SHOOT THEM INTO THE CROWD LIKE MANY DO!

X dotsCazdots: so let me explain better about the style...For me, nu metal doesn’t exist because with this definition it's not possible to group bands based on essential elements of their music...(for example: if we talk about Thrash metal, the first bands that come to mind might be Metallica, Testament, etc.) if we talk about nu metal, what comes to mind...to me personally, nothing...or rather it’s a style so vast that almost anything can fit in it...if I tell you what style Slipknot plays...you’ll answer me: Nu metal...and what about System of a Down: Nu metal...and what do these two have in common...to me it seems like nothing...actually nothing...you can only say that their styles are mixtures...so let’s decode the mixture...shouldn’t we categorize them instead of lumping them together like many do? Do you understand what I mean?
