Oh no... WHEN IT COMES TO DRUMS, NO ONE BEATS MIKE PORTNOY.... seriously, no one. Who the hell can keep up with a world-class double bass kicking at almost full throttle for nearly 2 minutes straight, who???? And have you heard those live solos he does? I mean, can you even compare him to Phil Collins, who I know VERY well and have all his albums... are you really comparing him to MIKE PORTNOY...? I mean, is there even a comparison??? Mike has a kit that’s practically a tripled drum set in components (and some, like the cymbals, are even custom-made!!) HE PLAYS THE WHOLE THING and on that stool that looks like a train!!! Have you ever seen him live.... the stool has RAILROADS and I'm not joking!!!!

It was an irony in his way of being a philosopher... don't worry, I'm not ignorant, and anyway metal isn't crap; crap is everywhere and in every style... I mean, I like progressive, I listen to metal a little... and still, you see that it's a fantastic style, made of energy and techniques that often go unnoticed...

Easycure... come on, you can't insult the Dream T. as if they were just any band... DAMN, THEY ARE DREAM THEATER... the best instrumentalists in the world, technically THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD! If you and your friends don't like them and don't say anything to us FANS, we couldn't care less... they tell us everything and a lot!

This album was sketched out by Dream in 1996... then that damn label didn't release it! ... it was supposed to be a double CD... then it was shortened, rearranged, and completely transformed by Jordan Rudess and Petrucci... this album is perfect... BathoryAria listen to it more closely!

Thank you... my favorite is also the Ytse Jam (it's the best on the album also because it's not sung by that pseudo singer, the first track is beautiful too... there are many tempo changes in "a fortune in lies," Portnoy was young but he kept that Double Bass in perfect time... does he have a metronome in his feet or the turbo n.o.s.?

Ah, ah, ah, yes BathoryAria you are absolutely right!!! In terms of grit, La Brie literally seems to crush Dominici!!!
