King Crimson Red

Prog died with the birth of punk (1976-1977) and has fortunately been reborn several times over the years. I really like the review. I only disagree on one point: for me, the song Red is the most beautiful on the album!!!

The review is original, even though you sent me some parts in a jumble when it comes to the percentages! This is THE album by Frank Zappa! Sumptuous! What a riff in Willie the Pimp...

Bravo: the review is both concise and comprehensive at the same time, it flows beautifully. What can I say about the album? Zappa truly gives his best (of the best) here. The Gumbo Variations are spectacular, with sax and violin, but I fell in love especially with the bass solo featuring that fantastic drumming around minute 14. The others are masterful as well. Frank Zappa was a genius like few have appeared on this Earth.

Great record!
Soft Machine Third

I listened to Third again and honestly, I've reevaluated it a bit. Still beautiful, to be clear, but perhaps a bit too overrated and glorified for what it really is. Patafisica, genius, there's no doubt, but some parts are tiring. Instead of a 5, I would give it a 4, which is still a respectable score.
The Mars Volta De-Loused In The Comatorium
Voto:
As I continued my journey through the records of the so-called "rebirth" of prog between the late '90s and the early 2000s, I stumbled upon the Mars Volta. I listened to Radiohead, Tortoise, Porcupine Tree, etc., and honestly, they didn't satisfy me; rather, they left a bad taste in my mouth. Even the Mars Volta, though a step above, are not exceptional. The so-called "rebirth" that everyone talks about doesn't actually exist. Perhaps the bands mentioned above have only taken the GREAT ones as inspiring models, but they are too contaminated by modern music to manage to replicate even a fraction of their achievements. It’s better to take refuge in the golden years... a rating of 3 would actually be a rounded-up 2.5, just because the Mars Volta are a tad better than the other bands I compared them to.

Wonderful and moving review. God save the rockers and keep them in Grace!
Radiohead Ok Computer
Voto:
Just as Paranoid Android is often referred to as a new Strawberry Fields Forever, Radiohead themselves are frequently called the "heirs of Pink Floyd." If I find the idiot who enjoys coming up with such half-baked definitions, I swear I’ll kill him. Among the many modern albums that are useless, boring, and whiny that I've heard lately, this one beats them all. HORRENDOUS.

Apart from Speed King, the album is undisputed, great NAZARETH! Loud'n'Proud is also nice...
