It’s rare for me to enjoy a very slow film, especially on a theme that is dear to me like the war genre (where, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful films, in its own way slow and introspective, is "Il nemico alle porte"). I should try to watch it again (the first time, years ago, I couldn’t stand it for long). The most beautiful human representation ever made about the Guadalcanal campaign remains the sixth mission of commandos 2.
