Yes The Yes Album

I absolutely have to listen to it. However, you didn't mention the magnificent Squire...

No, indeed, I didn't give it a 5... As a whole work, I prefer "Songs from the Wood" to this, but I find certain tracks fantastic. Thanks anyway for the comment. Bye.
Ivan Graziani Firenze-Lugano no stop

Surely a great one too often forgotten... I admit I know him little, I only have a CD that my father bought, a BMG collection from '94, which must not be very different from this one.
I would also like to mention the beautiful "Taglia la testa al gallo," of rare guitar finesse; and "Signora bionda dei ciliegi" is for me one of the most beautiful Italian songs of all time, wow!!

Not so bad, actually... Then "on the turning away" is really beautiful, with that dreamy guitar.

Well, I liked the review... and the album is certainly not a masterpiece, but it's not that bad either.

I only know "The Wizard's Garden," in truth, but I love it!!
Angelo Branduardi Pane e rose

I don't know the album, to be honest... my knowledge of the very talented Branduaerdì is still quite limited. The review is spontaneous, beautiful. One thing though: I find "Il giocatore di diliardo" splendid, one of the most beautiful choruses of the minstrel.

D'oh! The grades...

So here's the EVIL :D
Great review, very personal: the differences are one of the most beautiful things about talking about music (for example, I really like "The waking edge").
As for the Dire Straits influences, I think they are evident, not only in the singing (maybe due to recent voice problems, suddenly he found another one...), but also in Barre's guitar (which proves once again its worth!)
Beautiful heraldic cover, definitely "The Broadsword and the Beast" is the peak of Jethro Tull in the '80s... "Budapest" is goosebumps-inducing, "Farm on the freeway" is spectacular in its flute-guitar intertwining. Great!!

Oh yes, Grasshopper, in fact I already said that overall I might prefer "La pulce d'acqua," while unfortunately I don’t know many other works (aside from scattered excerpts), which are certainly of great value. As for "Donna ti voglio cantare," it’s quite possible; maybe it's one of those usual adaptations of ancient dances by the minstrel, but honestly, I don’t know. Thank you for the comment, it made me happy. Thanks also to alfo. Bye.
