@happypippo: are you always going to go back to that? I just said I'm too green (or enthusiastic, or impulsive, I’m not sure) to appreciate jazz. Come on, I've never criticized your taste. ;-) @Spartak: "If I could..." personally, it doesn’t drive me crazy as you've said, I prefer this. @OleEinar: I know him very well: doing what he does is one of my secret desires in life. @The Triveneti of DeBaser: I'm (almost) there too, come on: I love the northeast. @... No, enough. I feel like Arnoldo, with all these messages.

I haven't seen it, but no one has spoken well of it to me yet. I find fantasy a difficult genre to tackle, even for a writer. After all, the benchmark is immense; the "Odyssey" of the modern era, as someone said. I’m obviously talking about Tolkien’s astonishing masterpiece: the genius (the phrase galakordi urtis krat suits him well) created, before a novel, a world: names, history, dynasties of rulers as well as hobbits from the Shire, all for an incredible verisimilitude. Personally, I believe that any other book in the genre (which I admit to knowing very little of beyond the borders of Middle-earth) must simply be taken for what it is.

@OleEinar (Bjoerndalen? Legendary!): I know, I know. But from what little I’ve heard, I don’t think I can like Wyatt, Soft Machine and the like; that jazz-prog-psych-something-or-other isn’t really my style (let’s say it generally isn’t when jazz is involved, it’s stronger than me...). Take care. ;-)

Great review, well done; it really is time for d'Argento to see something. P.S. I: I don’t know how immature it was, but now the daughter is also a bit of a stunner (voice and manners aside, of course). P.S.: I hope I’m not among the four readers of gray velvet because I’m already feeling warm enough.

Perspectives: personally, I don't agree (Camel and this Caravan one aside). I still prefer the symphonism of the big names. ;-)

Stunning album, inspired review but not too much, still enjoyable.

Anyway, Wright is a keyboardist with incredible talent, of unsustainable intensity (see the stunning "Welcome to the Machine," one of the best tracks by Pink Floyd - The best?) and exquisite lightness when needed (like in "Nobody Home").

I imagined it... instead, I quite like it. ;-) @Lord: actually, I’m more impressed by the last 4, with that chilling acoustic and that stratospheric suite. Did I earn the article? Wow...
