I have chills. Michael in "The Abscent Of Man" is singing "i try to float like a telegram sam, i'm trying to divine you".. I have a bowl of cherries in front of me, and I'm eating them. You have to be deaf to..

Just so you know, I won't be a retiree, but I'm not a kid either: I'm 24 years old and have been following R.E.M. for 15; think about that before you dare to say certain things. Besides, I wasn't even referring to you in particular: I only said that criticizing "Around The Sun" feels a lot like prejudice to me, but that's still just my opinion. If you get all worked up about it, that's your problem, right?

But are you stupid? Do you really think my first R.E.M. album was "Reveal"? I remember watching Deejay Television on Italia 1 when I was 9, and there was the video for "Stand"... I thought the R.E.M. were those people dancing in the video... I had the cassette of "Out Of Time" too, back in 1991, and I wasn't even 11 yet. I could talk for hours about "Automatic For The People," track by track. With "Monster" I discovered all the rock that, at 14 for obvious reasons, you can't know; I discovered Sonic Youth, American bands of the '80s (Black Flag, Fugazi, X, Husker Du, Replacements)... I discovered The Smiths and The Velvet Underground thanks to R.E.M., I started writing songs after listening to "Murmur" for the first time in 1995, another cherished and worn-out album... I saw them in Catania in 1995 (the first concert of my life), and until I turned 18, I kept a holy card of Michael Stipe in my wallet... and you come to tell me that I arrived late? Don’t be ridiculous, come on... take care.

Of course, Coelum, I agree with you. In reality, they are not attacking the review, but me. They don't understand, they are the living dead, so they try to suppress those few who have courage, sensitivity, style, and language. I'm not putting myself on a higher plane, but they are the ones giving me the chance to do so, with their little nonsense.

I agree too: Southman and Psychopompe were great as "judges" :) (I'm not sucking up, you know)

When you make sensible comments instead of writing "francis you are the most beautiful user", "how nice you are", then I'll change my opinion of you as a fool. You are a child, who as long as he is the one laughing and making fun feels so cool, but when he encounters someone who makes him look foolish, he suddenly becomes sensitive. You are a brat, since I didn’t seek you out and you came to dare to act foolishly with me (getting your well-deserved kicks in the butt multiple times), please do not comment on my articles anymore… I say this for you, little brat.
