I can’t stand to see that the expression of my feelings and my tribute to a figure I love like Bolan has to be mistreated by the apathetic and lazy comments of some little jerk who is and will always be incapable of feeling and honoring music the way I do. If this is pride, then so be it. It’s not my problem.

I don't understand what I said that was wrong... you don't know me, you can't judge me as a person and accuse me of pride. When you feel you've written a better review than usual, why not say it? It's not arrogance. Why diminish yourself, why flaunt that false modesty that only hides a fundamental hypocrisy? Someone accused me of being long-winded, spitting on a work that cost me a lot, because when I write about music, I put all of myself into it, my love for the records I live with. I embrace music, I consume it, I suffer, laugh, and cry with it. It's that daily "time out" that allows me to rediscover my sensitivity, to rediscover my emotions forcibly repressed in the banality that life often presents.

It's the best review I've ever written, I have to admit... rereading it and listening to the album, I got emotional... kosmo for me too, Bolan is almost a faith.

This is not a "review," man!!! You can't review "Transformer," it's not some damn album by the Strokes!! This is a TRIBUTE, a tribute to Lou Reed and to this record! I don't care if I seem pointless and misleading, I don't give a damn. My writing style is this, if you don't like it, tough luck. This is not a thesis site, get it through your head. Here we bare our souls, we confront each other. I’m open to confrontation, as long as it’s adequate and proportional to how I present my points. I don't like foul language, nor do I like controversy (which, someone once said, is conciliatory), and I don't think I intended to provoke anyone even in this case. But I'm bored: from now on I will express myself only through the records I talk about, so.. this way I even leave you with the last word and you’re all happy and cheerful. Almost like me. Almost.

Mine was a "general" assumption, not necessarily limited only to the comments on DeBaser. Don't take everything literally. I certainly stand by the idea that there are people around and online who speak ill of this record without even having listened to it, just because "it was about time some shit was thrown at the R.e.m.," a thought argued, for example, by that despicable person of a caz. Do as you wish.
