I feel like writing a review of this album, but I can't just waste my thoughts so easily... I'll only do it in case of popular acclaim.

For someone who writes stuff like "let's go insult Francis," I have no respect at all, you jerk. It's truly the case to say: ALTERNATIVE OF MY BALLS!!! Do you really think there’s a big difference between MTV TRL and MTV BRAND NEW??? NONE, idiot!!! They’re both just infomercials for products, you just have to know how to pick the better one, so don’t come to me acting like you listen to underground because in a second I’ll flip you. And fuck you, I repeat: I’ve written 30 reviews for this site, you’ve written 1. Let's keep a minimum of hierarchy, for Christ's sake.

But now that I think about it... what kind of review is this? It says nothing about the concept behind this album, the connection that leads one track to another, the contamination between different elements (hip hop, dub, synth pop, electronic, punk) of the featured guests (De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Dennis Hopper, the London Gospel Community Choir, Shaun Ryder), it says nothing at all. Really terrible.

For Alexander77: who the hell do you think you're insulting, idiot, from what position? I've written 30 reviews, moron, do you understand the difference? Who do you think you are? Don't dare to mention my name, and write in lowercase when you address me because I have a lot to teach you, as impossible as it might be to get any notion worthy of my attention into your empty, dull skull. Keep listening to Tommy Emmanuel, will you, or maybe tonight I'll let you go to bed without dinner, rookie!

MTV loser? Damon Albarn? The only one who had the courage to openly challenge Geldof's Live 8 project, accusing him of neglecting African artists? You’ve never listened to anything by Blur and have limited yourself to the singles, as if there’s something wrong with making pop music (and what pop, damn it!), you despise Albarn because you don’t understand him, you’re unable to grasp his work of deconstructing pop that he has been pursuing for years and that he has maintained with this fantastic album. This is a record for intelligent, open-minded people; time-wasters stay away.

Absolutely right, Giuseppe. Those who speak ill of this album are acting in bad faith.

I repeat: Beautiful album, more challenging than the debut but much deeper and more "adult" compared to the punk hip hop dance of the first album. There are some tracks that really send chills down your spine, like the single "Feel Good Inc," the dramatic "Last Living Souls" (with that break reminiscent of Bowie's "Hunky Dory"), and the infectious "Dirty Harry." Ten years after the Britpop challenge, the two best albums of the year are still by Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn. And I'm quite okay with that, for goodness' sake.
