I'm listening to "Parting Gift" now, which is on a compilation that says it's from the album Extraordinary Machine... does anyone know it? How are the rest of the tracks? Similar to "Parting Gift"?

I never would have thought... I "risked" several times to watch this film, but then something always happened that stopped me. I wonder if it’s already out on DVD? For the series of recommendable films, I would mention the always beautiful Brazil, born in Gilliam's little head thanks to the fabulous "little song":
"Brazil, where stars were entertaining jewel//
We stood beneath an amber moon//
And softly murmured 'Someday soon'//
We kissed and clung together//
Then, tomorrow was another day//
The morning found us miles away//
With still a million things to say//
And now, when twilight dims the skies above//
Recalling thrills of my love//
There's one thing I'm certain of//
Return I will to old Brazil"

Anyway, do you know the concept of Expected Value (E)? E(TotalHappiness) = P(DyingYoung) * Value(ImmediateHappiness) + (1 - P(DyingYoung)) * Value(FutureHappiness). (P is the Probability). Given that the goal is to maximize the Expected Value of Total Happiness and that P(DyingYoung) <<< (1 - P(DyingYoung)), overvaluing ImmediateHappiness is not advantageous. I’m available for further clarifications.

I often give Christmas gifts... after Christmas. Of course, the tension eases a bit, but just think of the surprise! Zcrooge.

But I see now in the inner fold that there are real verses by C. Baudelaire. What's the story behind this album? Do you know, Pluto? (In the meantime, I'm putting on Spiritualized to balance things out :)

Bought Litanies of Satan yesterday at half price in a closing store... put it in the studio today, brrrrr... but it should really be listened to at night and in the dark to fully appreciate the terrifying verses...
