He has an amazing guitar, I agree! I'm glad you also consider Uli Roth a true master of guitar; if you think that he comes from the 70s and still plays today with such technique and virtuosity, with 10-minute solo pieces, well, I believe many guitarists should take him as an example!

I saw that you wrote a review; I promise to read it soon and, why not, also to interact if you'd like. After all, it's nice to open our minds and not stay stuck in a predefined area! So I’ll comment on the review soon; a big hello from jetto.

Right, "chitarra 'elletrica'," good catch, I had missed that! But where could she have taken Italian lessons, in Sweden?? And then she also says that ignorance is a nasty beast...thank goodness she figured it out, you know, better late than never!!

I'm glad you liked the sky overture! I'll put aside the Dream Theater discussion as I'm not particularly well-versed in them; I'm not a hardcore fan!

Ah, I had no doubts!! Rather, go check out what a fool wrote in the review of Malmsteen's Odyssey and try not to get angry!

Theater offered their own version of progressive, but they didn't invent anything; they started from standards already established by other 70s-80s groups and then added their personality.

"Progressive metal is a music genre characterized by lengthy, technical, and virtuoso instrumental pieces, compositional structures that are as complex as they seem free, and the presence of various time signatures, including irregular ones. The high musical level is often enhanced by the lyrics, which are epic and deeply profound. Songs in this genre are typically much longer than standard tracks, and concept albums are common.
Prog metal was popularized by Queensrÿche and then continued with Dream Theater starting in the late '80s and later with Tool. These bands (despite their undeniable originality) drew inspiration in turn from prog rock groups such as Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Rush, and King Crimson. It is a branch of the diverse and vast genre of heavy metal. Various influences can be found within it, such as jazz and classical, for example."
