Well, I'll give you a bit of satisfaction. Do you see how little they are considered?

Oh damn... But do you know that one has to stay sober to drive? So while she’s driving the others, who are really wasted, they’ll start to tickle her, pinch her, pull the steering wheel...

All drunk? And who was driving? Boring band, but I like all four of you.

Not sexy, I'm not normal and I'm not like you, but much, much worse...

People buy Burzum's music also because he is a "character." Shadow Gallery, by wanting to keep a low profile, being excellent musicians but absolutely distant from the rules of showbiz, risk going unnoticed.

Sorry, I have composed and not played.

Underrated because it’s a band that improvises on the spot, without live support activities. The members are shift workers and sound technicians too busy with their other commitments. Nor have the critical successes awarded to each of their releases changed their minds. It seems that Chris Ingles didn't compose but didn't play on the last record either.

Yes, let’s say that I wanted to make a joke about the clichés often told about Malmsteen, some of which are certainly true, like those that paint him as an arrogant person who lacks respect for his colleagues, while others, in my opinion, are unfounded, such as those that condemn him to be merely a speed demon on the six strings and nothing more. As for Joe Stump, I should clarify that I'm speaking as a listener, not a guitarist; one cannot deny his great technical skills, so much so that a highly specialized magazine considers him among the top 10 living guitarists. A teacher at Berklee, his albums, however, have a clear educational approach. Romeo, on the other hand, makes you want to play: never verbose, he seems to always place the right note in the right spot; his solos are spectacular and he is often mistakenly considered a clone of Malmsteen, whereas in reality, while paying tribute to the Swedish ace, his style is more varied. Patrick Rondat, a guitarist with exceptional technique but also with great taste. Jennifer Batten, the one who plays the guitar like a piano or, as one might say, with extreme tapping. The lesser-known Dave Martone, a guitarist with impossible technique but with remarkable compositional skills. On the rock fusion side, Gambale, Greg Howe, and Scott Henderson are guitarists capable of switching from one genre to another with the ease of changing clothes. I believe that each of those mentioned is technically superior to Malmsteen; in a skill contest, with an expert jury, they would prevail. But none of them have the soul of Malmsteen when he composed his first four albums, nor probably (with the exception of possibly Henderson) the ability to leave such a strong mark in the world of music.

I am not being ironic. Malmsteen is criticized and can be critiqued, but his merits cannot be hidden, as he has influenced quite a few bands. Those who listen to Stratovarius & Co. know exactly what I mean.
