The Cure Disintegration

Well, disintegration doesn't hold a candle to pornography, but it's a great album.
Pink Floyd The Division Bell

classic dinosaur record
The Verve Urban Hymns

"Bittersweet symphony" is an awful song, with those nauseating strings...perfect for an Opel commercial, in fact. The rest of the album relies on plagiarism of Oasis tracks like "Lucky Man," "This Time," and so on. Let's cover up with a pitying veil the banal hard-psychedelic numbers like "Catching the Butterfly" or "Come On," or the drippy ballads like "The Drugs Don't Work." There’s nothing of the magnificent Verve from "History" here, perhaps only the tenuous melody of "Space and Time." Unfortunately, the unfortunate success of that little tune forces us to endure the solo crap from that idiot Ashcroft...
Guns n' Roses Use Your Illusion II
Voto:
A really mediocre record: the various Soundgarden, Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana had completely changed the game, even U2 were completely altering their sound with "Achtung Baby" and GNR released what was the most retrograde thing possible in the rock scene. Thankfully, it would be their epitaph.
Graham Coxon Love Travels At Illegal Speed
Voto:
A discreet musician, the only decent things done by Blur bore his mark.
Quicksand Manic Compression
Voto:
Great album, intense and varied just enough. Among the best of that season. It would be cooler if you did remains a gem of post-hardcore.
