Marilyn Manson Holywood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death)
Voto:
The review is a bit rough around the edges, but since it's the first one, we can forgive it ^^
I give the album a 4 and I don't even feel like justifying my choice; sometimes it would be enough to focus on the music and avoid certain useless rants like "Manson the clown, Manson the commercial" etc. etc. ... It's too easy to conform to the common thought that dictates what we should listen to and what we shouldn't. Manson flopped one album ("GOAOG") and "Holy Wood" is considered by a good part of the specialized critics as Manson's absolute masterpiece... Actually, you know what?! I’ll finish working on this album that I have to review and then I’ll dive into Manson just to spite you!! ahuahahuahh (just kidding, eh!)
Rhapsody Of Fire Triumph Or Agony
Voto:
To say that "Triumph or Agony" is the same as the others is to have listened to it with indifference. There will be two or three typical Rhapsody tracks, but for the rest, they have experimented a lot; the orchestra finally takes a back seat, and Turilli can be heard well. Anyway, good review, although I would have skipped the long introductory rant ;)

Here we go again... I'm not saying that metal is untouchable, but that Queen doesn't do metal. They've done everything in their lives except metal, simply because metal as we understand it today was born in 1980/81 and Jazz is from 1979. Black Sabbath actually started doing metal with Dio coming on board as the vocalist... and do you know in what year?! 1980! If Queen does metal, what were Deep Purple doing?! Grind-core??!??!

ledzep... you don't understand shit about metal, stop it! "we will rock you (fast)" is a great hard-rock track, period! If those tracks are metal, what are the Black Sabbath? I'm asking you in the name of common sense, enough!

If that's the case, even "Heading for Tomorrow" by Gamma Ray sounds like Queen, but Jazz isn't metal... served up by the metal editor of a webzine, my friend, and a Queen fan for 15 years *__^

I'll tell you, I'm not a fan of Inguine, but I really like this album... in fact, I'm going to listen to it now...

"Don't come to me saying that let me and dead on time aren't metal in substance, because then I'll stop talking about music." You can stop then ^^ They aren't metal at all! Not even marginally.

A question, is the recording as terrible as the Skylark records?
