Already today, I am pleasantly surprised to find another review of an incoming artist in Catania. He is scheduled in our Brass Group season and comes with a quartet made up of keyboard, bass, drums, and percussion. Sprightly Jean Luc, huh?

Great choice, Ponty! The review is commendable, although I too would have preferred an album from the discography rather than a best of. I'm going to his concert on April 7th; this review is a great appetizer.

Hi Odra, the title I can suggest, aside from "Crossing The Border" mentioned in the more info and nonetheless fundamental, is "Horses Of Instruction." Get ready for a rough, unyielding listening experience, filled with a rhythmic obsession that many find irritating; once you get past the initial impact, you approach this edgy and angular artist with increasing interest. Let me know, I think it could bring you some satisfaction. On Saturday, April 22, he’s coming here to Catania, same program as this concert I presume, and I am going to see him. And not even two weeks before, on April 10, also for the same series, Philip Glass (with ensemble) is coming for "Powaqqatsi." In short, I'm getting ready for an interesting April...
