Wonderful review! The only Scofield album I have is the amazing "Works For Me" from 2001 with Brad Mehldau on piano (!), Christian McBride on double bass, Billy Higgins on drums, and Kenny Garrett on alto sax. You’ve made me want to listen to it again and to get this "Quiet."

Odra, thank you so much; I will follow these tips. Speaking of minimalists (even though I hate these boxed definitions), yesterday I saw Philip Glass with his Ensemble in "Powaqqatsi"... wow, powerful, universal, at times shocking, a truly unique vision and experience.
