Welcome back Symbad, have you roasted yourself well at the sea? Of course, water and salt have barely oxidized your de-reviewing gears, capable of producing pages as great as this one. Here I only know Bobby, but I'm very curious about this combination with the organ...

@ Festwca: in the meantime, I’m adding to the list, which has now become a ridiculously long file, and little by little, like a little turtle, every month I cross off the things I buy; of course, the ratio between purchases and new entries on the list is scandalously skewed towards the latter (in short, it’s a bit like wanting to empty the sea with a cup), but the idea that I will always have something to listen to/buy fascinates and reassures me at the same time. Maniacal, huh? :-) Best regards.

Unavoidably stoner... and unavoidably on the shopping list! Great review.

I am quite unfamiliar with the latest Gillespie myself, but the superb review immediately calls for action...I recently found the DVD version that Mr. Green Genes talks about: I might just go ahead and get that.

Narciso Yepes Recuerdos De La Alhambra (Francisco Tarrega)
Voto:
Excellent review for a great of classical guitar like Narciso Yepes. Recuerdos de la Alhambra is one of the most moving and inspired compositions in the entire guitar literature; I have the version by Segovia, a true icon of the six strings, while I have a beautiful double CD by Narciso Yepes with the music of Joaquin Rodrigo, including the famous Concerto de Aranjuez and Fantasia para un Gentilhombre. Five cheers to the exquisite art of this extraordinary guitarist. And a big shout-out to aniel.
