Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint The River In Reverse
Voto:
Your judgment, Hal, on one hand makes me curious and eager to listen, on the other hand advises against it... I don't know, I was thrilled with the album "North" (which is also the only Costello album I own), but here I believe the level is lower. A splendid review as always, also for its honesty and objectivity.

Bill Evans feat. Toots Thielemans Affinity
Voto:
Excellent review. Evans' pianistic mastery remains a fundamental benchmark in the universe of jazz. I agree with Mullah on the establishment of a "trimurti" Evans-Davis-Coltrane, serving as the backbone in the history of African American music. I am truly intrigued by this combination with the good old Toots: the latter has given me emotions of rare intensity in live performances.

Beautiful, if I’m not mistaken, you mentioned it a few days ago in the other review of Oscar Peterson on the homepage, and now... here it is already! I join those who say in these cases: "public service."
Stan Getz Bossas And Ballads: The Lost Sessions

When he overdoes the Latinisms, he risks tiring the reader, but his style is pure class. Excellent review.
Oscar Peterson Trio On The Town With The Oscar Peterson Trio

Essential this tribute to the sublime art of Oscar Peterson, a master, a cornerstone of jazz piano. Well done Mullah!

If I'm not mistaken, ECM releases Jarrett's albums exactly two years after the performances... I guess we'll have to wait a bit :-(
