Tyranny Tides Of Awakening

Guys, when I think of doom, two names come to mind (besides Black Sabbath, obviously): SLEEP and ELECTRIC WIZARD. The ones you mentioned (Cathedral aside) are too sentimental, come on.

In my opinion, it’s a bearable evil in the name of greater popularity and openness of the site. Of course, it’s clear: I’m not going to cry if the managers of DeBaser decide to eliminate anonymous comments. On my pages, I allow anonymous comments, and so far, nothing catastrophic has happened (do they all like me?).

Ocram, you filthy piece of trash!

No, that's not what I meant. There are records that I've appreciated after YEARS, not just 2-3 listens. It just seems to me that IN THIS CASE it's not worth it. But maybe I'm wrong...

AlessioIRIDE, do you see that it's indifferent? Is ValerioRivoli an anonymous user?

No, bjorky (damn how sensitive you are): read the comments on that page carefully. The user ocram (who is a nice person) was curious about what was written in the deleted comment. No one mentioned that it was directed at you (the deleted comment). And you called him a "piece of shit" just like that, for free. Just because he was a bit curious.

Simply put, a site that allows anonymous users is a more open site. And sometimes, unverified comments are more interesting than verified ones (and conversely, certain verified users can be much more bothersome than some anonymous ones). The price to pay is total chaos in some cases (which isn’t to say it can’t be fun). But insults can just be ignored, right?

Forgive me for the superficial comment. It’s obvious that they are different, but not on a macro level. For me, having listened to them 2-3 times, they sound identical. And albums that require more than 3 listens to reveal their personality don't always justify the time spent. Here: in the case of Modern Times, I don’t think it’s worth delving deeper. But I can understand that for Dylan fans it might be. And speaking of emotions: Time Out of Mind gave me plenty right from the first listens.

OleEinar, there are two points, not one. (1) Why are anonymous comments allowed? The answer is in the D.A.P., I gave you the link. (2) Why aren't all the insulting comments deleted? The answer is obvious.

But comparisons must be made if we want to assess the value of an album. Both with today’s music scene (in which, in my opinion, Modern Times gets buried under works of much greater [superior] depth) and with Dylan's other records (it is identical - and equally beautiful - to Love & Theft).
