Great review for a great album. However, I disagree with the notion that Black Flag were "THE band": they certainly weren't the only ones, and in my opinion, they weren't the best (or at least, they weren't the ONLY best).

Goat is the only album I have and I like it quite a bit, but I don't find it particularly original/innovative or particularly memorable; I don't know, Fugazi seem like a step up to me. I stopped at Goat because I hear rumors that all their albums are very similar (please prove me wrong if that's not true). The review is very nice; I won't rate the album because it's definitely a 5, but I haven't quite understood it yet, I'll try to listen to it very carefully.

The Flaming Lips At War With The Mystics

For me, the Flaming Lips were truly great in the '80s (see "Finally the Punk Rockers Are Taking Acid"), but at the turn of the millennium, they had few rivals when it came to high-class pop. I think I’ll get this album even though I liked Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi but they didn’t thrill me. Nice review, perhaps made a bit heavy by the description of each individual song.

Absolutely amazing, a hypnotic, dizzying, intoxicating, disorienting, unsettling album. Miss Fortune is the quintessential krautrock piece. The review is also beautiful.

Radiohead Kid A

KID A is the best album by Radiohead, a good but not exceptional band (in my opinion, of course). I recommend anyone who likes KID A to listen to Yerself Is Steam by Mercury Rev, a very similar album but much, much better.
