A legendary band I’ve never had the chance to listen to. It seems to me that from them originated Slint, Gastr Del Sol, Tortoise, and other AMAZING groups!

The first two records are not hard to find: they're being sold for $12 each on the Sub Pop website. What do you think, is it worth buying them?

Amazing album. For me, the Flaming Lips are just a step below the bands you mentioned (Husker Du, Sonic Youth, and Pixies). Still, they’re fantastic.

I have to make up my mind to listen to them.

Embrace This New Day
Voto:
I've never listened to this album, but I wanted to point out that the Embrace I reviewed are a different band (1980s punk) that has nothing to do with this. Personally, I consider the britpop saga and bands like Oasis and Coldplay to be at a very low artistic level. Bye :)

Rolling Stone is a magazine I would cover with a shroud of pity (more about FASHION than music) and U2 are ridiculous inflated balls. However, I do not agree on one thing: who said that rock must be light and trivial? Often the term "rock" is confused with "light music." Light music has a lower artistic level precisely because it is what it is (and receives fewer stars from me). The fact that Queen has entered the collective imagination of millions of people is a good symptom of their banality. Those who say new things that are bothersome do not achieve that kind of success.

They don't remember Neu, THEY ARE the Neu of the '90s. It's nice to know that someone has carried on the legacy of that group. Even though Spiderland is better, this is still a masterpiece.
