Come on Krystal, if (almost) everyone thinks this album is subpar, don’t you naturally suspect there might be some truth to it? There's no need to dig in your heels and speak in dialect to avoid being understood; instead, try asking (and following) some musical advice from those more experienced than you (I’m not talking about Electric Wizard because I think you think they suck).

Thank you Sanjuro, but do you mean nice or "with tastes similar to yours"? Otherwise, I can also suggest Antmo, psychopompe, sfascia-carrozze, birobiro, trellheim (and others that I'm forgetting at the moment).

Debaser is an amazing site, I don't know how to thank the author of the review, reading pages like this helps one grow as a person, THANK YOU! (many say the album is his masterpiece, I still have to listen to it)

In my opinion, the judgment of a person who knows many different groups is more reliable than that of someone who only listens to metal (or, even worse, only listens to DT). What do you think?

orione77, I don't think it's true that one must know a group thoroughly in order to compare it to others and consequently judge it. If an album has little to say, usually just a few listens are enough to understand it, especially if one has an open knowledge (that is, one that spans multiple genres) of music. Rather, the opposite is true; if someone listens to the same album a hundred times, in the end they'll find things that others might not be able to discover.

mmm, upon further reflection, I lower my rating by 1. The fact is that this album is too inconsistent; there are three magnificent masterpieces (Pigswill, Exterminator, and DI-1-9026) surrounded by too many others of lesser value. Descent into the Inferno, for instance, is a nice piece but nothing so transcendental; then there's the overture, which is repeated twice. And in the end, The Throne of Agony isn't all that exceptional.

Yes. I made it. I'm really out of it, especially Haynes. Then the two drummers standing up drive me crazy.

And I apologize for the shaky Italian as well.

Oops, sorry for the abrupt response. The genre is more or less noise-freak-psychedelic-postpunk-bl uesmetal. If you like metal, try listening to Locust Abortion Technician; it’s an album that pays homage to and at the same time mercilessly demolishes all the clichés of metal, starting with Black Sabbath.

Forget about the genre, try reading the reviews of Sanjuro and Pretazzo here on DeB.
