So, I found myself more at ease on the other page; I found this one a bit boring. But that’s how it is, I give you a 5 just for the effort put in and the time spent. I know very well that writing a review is not an easy task, let alone two! PS: 9928 characters total, wow, that's a beast! PS2: Yes, yes, please odra, tell us something about the Dream Theater and Dark Side of The Moon. It would be really interesting to hear your opinion on two of the most overrated items in rock. We’re all ears!

I haven't read all the comments, but I can say that I think it's right to divide the review into two parts: one in which you share feelings, digress, and describe the album through images. A second part (which I still have to read) in which you describe it. It’s the same approach I used in mine about Boces. Of course, you’ve outdone me by a long shot. Well done.

Excellent, really excellent (the review, I don't know the album and I don't think I'll get to know it)

I try to respond to Enea, prefacing that I don’t have a very clear opinion on this album; it leaves me a bit perplexed, perhaps that's also why "the matter is not clear"... So, first of all, I want to clarify that my writing is both a free association of ideas (first part, I’m not entirely convinced) and a rather canonical review (second part, I think it’s quite clear in the expressed concepts). What idea have I formed? Without a doubt, I found Boces much more difficult and impenetrable than the debut, while still maintaining its expressive canons. No, I don’t agree with you; it’s not more scholastic; if anything, it indulges even more in the free-form and nonsense attitudes already present in Yerself. It’s longer (just 4 minutes more, but it feels like it lasts twice as long), more draining, traveling through highs and lows, tonal drops, and moments of boredom. For these reasons, I couldn’t give it 5/5. I realize that the review is incomplete and imperfect, but I wanted it that way; I don’t intend to absolutize my opinion, rather I aim to describe through images the content of the album, the sensations it evokes, and then I try to provide a rough objective description of what can be objectively described. As for the evolution of Mercury Rev, I can’t express my thoughts because I only have three albums (this one, the first, and Deserter's). What I’ve noticed is that the first two are quite similar in form and content, while Deserter is a completely different affair, with very ordinary pop songs (of high class, I must say).

Hello everyone, fellow debaserians. @odradek, zzzzz: thank you for the attention you're giving me, I’m honored (and a bit embarrassed). @sfasciacarrozze: Gigrobotd'acciaeschi??? @Burns & DanteC.: Yerself Is Steam is undoubtedly superior, I completely agree with you. @chienandal: I want to point out that mine is not a translation of the booklet but a free flow of consciousness (later revised and corrected, mind you) vaguely inspired by those notes. @psychopompe: who knows, well, I think you can do without it, it's not essential.

Mmm, yes, indeed, upon reflection, it anticipates the new wave. I take back what I said about it, I retract my steps (and I listen to this incredible album again).

I liked the review, I would give you a 4. I'll deduct a point for the spelling mistakes, proofread it next time.

Very good (aside from the fact that I can't stand piece-by-piece descriptions). How is it possible that I haven't listened to it yet? I'll take care of it.
