Very, very interesting. Unfortunately, I've never heard the Primus, I'll take care of that...

These are light years ahead of Slint and only gave it a 4? Is there something I'm missing, or is this one of the most beautiful albums of the last 20 years...? :)

Beautiful beautiful beautiful, and the samples are interesting, even though I understand little about jazz (I occasionally listen only to Saccharine Trust, Spring Heel Jack, and a few others).

I've had it for years, I've listened to it several times, but it has never sunk into my brain. The review made me want to give it another chance.

Well, I don't want to be a killjoy, but I didn't really like the album that much... it's a matter of taste. Regarding post-rock, I agree with what the reviewer said in the first paragraph; sometimes I feel like the only truly worthy album is Spiderland, but that's how it is...

I fully agree with everything said by Pretazzo and Sanjuro on this page. PS: no, hardcore 79-83 (or rather, 79-81) is not exactly my cup of tea, even though much of what I listen to has been inspired by that music scene. Let's say that the period from the mid-70s (when the kraut movement ended) to 83 (the year SST started to spark) is a dark time for me. Punk 77, new wave, and dark are certainly not the genres I find myself enjoying the most.
