It may be, philospho, I actually don’t know much about prog-metal. But weren't Queensryche prog?

If there’s any credit to be given, that prog-metal album wasn’t invented by that record, you know. I’ll add to the list: Cunning Stunts by the Cows!!

I had also tried to write about it, this record, but I inevitably had to throw it away. Great job, Floyd, for an album that is not at all easy to talk about. The VR were mainly a duo: a student/professor of avant-garde music and an expert in soundtracks, and these influences are strongly felt. The tracks are swirling orchestrations of mutating samples; any harmonic/melodic structure is built and torn down in just a few seconds, rhythms change unexpectedly and incessantly. The defining mark is the wicked sound of the violin, piercing the compositions mercilessly with laments and ferocious gasps. The genre is indeed indefinable but can essentially be traced back to "industrial music." As for the level of processing, the Rodents took the old Foetus and blended it and accelerated it beyond any criteria and limits of decency. Listen to believe.

The tracks are 45. In the CD version, they removed three and added one. Psichoprog, get better informed BEFORE you shoot a ONE on an excellent review. Come on!!!!

Indeed, Queen did not invent anything new; we all agree on that. Whether you like them or not, that's no problem (I used to adore them until I was 17 or 18, I have their complete discography, and there was a time when I only listened to them). But that's not the issue. The issue is that Walter is trying to push the equation "sales success" = "musical value." Are we kidding??? I mean, do you realize?

Damn, if it weren't for these pages, DeBaser would be such a sad site. Thank you, Walter! Can I jump into the discussion too? So, let’s talk about electronic music since you’re so obsessed with this rock-centric thing. Referring to 80s electronic music you say: "at the time it was a revolution for everyone, especially in the 80s when sampled sounds were truly revolutionary." THAT'S NOT TRUE. And enough with this 80s electronic music nonsense! Electronic music had been around long before and in the early/mid 70s it gave birth to unreachable masterpieces. If you don’t know, don’t speak; revolution, my foot. And look, there's nothing wrong with liking Queen, everyone has their taste, and taste is subjective. But please, stop spreading nonsense and falsehoods about the history of music. Actually, no, keep going because you're entertaining. Now you have to respond to josi though, huh, she effectively countered every point you made, you can’t let her win. Come on.
