Diamond Head Lightning To The Nations
Voto:
The cover: the original was simply white with the signatures of the group. The first reprint from the early '80s featured a map of America in flames. Then the CD released in '91 (or thereabouts) showed a diamond on a black background, with the words "diamond head" in purple. The latest prints returned to total white, renaming the album "The White Album." The record is a fundamental classic.

In agreement with the reviewer, here are the most interesting things about Pavement. Crooked, blur, imperfect: in short, quality stuff.

Beautiful pretazzo. I only have Horses and it doesn't excite me that much, for me new-wave = Residents / Chrome / Minutemen.

Young Widows Settle Down City

I gave it a listen about a month ago, and it didn’t leave much of an impression on me. It felt like the usual violent noise-Albini stuff, without much originality. I might give it another listen.

I've been meaning to listen to them for a while now, so I'll take care of that. Great job, drinker.

I wouldn't have thought about the influence of the Doors. The JLizard as a post-everything supergroup, nice review Sanjuro.
My Bloody Valentine Isn't Anythying
Voto:
Great group On :) badass noise like we haven't heard in a while, and avant-garde. As for My Bloody Valentine, I like them but they don't spark that final spark for me. Staying in the same territories, I much prefer Band of Susans: their Love Agenda is from '89 and it's New York noise-rock/shoegaze influenced by Glenn Branca (like Sonic Youth) and minimalism, made by musicians with real talent, featuring a triple (!) guitar attack. Do you know them?

Ahah, thinking about it, I'm cracking up too :DDD However, that doesn’t change the fact that the album is a Great Album, and that CD-Rs are being overlooked. Great review this :) Haloa!
