Okkervil River The Stage Names

From what I've heard, the album doesn't go beyond 3 stars. The review, however, is very good.

They are 20 euros even in online stores. I usually don't buy for more than 10-12 euros. I'm not able to resell them: once I own a record, I can't part with it, even if it's Oasis. It feels like I'm separating from a part of my life, I don't know if I make myself clear. What can you do?

But no one has seen them live, no one at all? Come on, show yourselves because I'm super curious.

Obsequity to the ever (too) magnanimous stritolalamiere, a hello to Sanjuro (look who we have here: since when are you against downloading???), and then the cool Antmo: this is truly the page of the usual suspects. Usual but good, huh?

I listened to that record a while ago and I was repulsed, it's not like I know it. I would really like to delve deeper into the Einsturzende but damn, on MP3 they make no sense and their albums cost an arm and a leg!

On this page, I have abandoned all unnecessary review aspirations. For me, DeBaser is mainly a place to exchange music recommendations; "sharing" is the key word. So let it be: "review" reduced to "recommendation" with a little thought attached, and I am very happy it has already served a purpose (please, odradek).

As a gift, I also received the album by F-Space (a project by Ethan Port, guitarist of Savage Republic); I expected an avant-garde blast like Kollaps, but instead, it was quite easy to listen to. Not bad. By the way, did the SR come to Italy to perform? Does anyone know anything about it?

Anyway, they are one of the happiest discoveries I’ve made about DeB (thanks, Lewis), so much so that I bought the box with all the records (a splurge, but worth it: for the music, of course; but also for the packaging, cardboard and "hand-pressed"). Tragic Figures is one of my "objects" to take to the Moon. If the new LP coming out lives up to the old ones from the '80s (likely), for me it’s already easily album of the year.
