Great proposal, we needed a few reviews on Scofield (whom I unfortunately know little about).

Hi Muito, just to be clear, I wasn't being derogatory; I actually like the Masada-lounge, damn it. Let’s say lounge in the sense that it’s a slightly softer Masada, easy listening and with traces of percussion in an exotica style (in which Cyro Baptista excels). In fact, Circle Makers is truly beautiful, five full stars, no doubt about it. It’s also varied because one of the two includes the entire Bar Kokhba group while the other features just the Masada string trio. Don’t miss Masada Guitars (a real gem of acoustic guitar!).

Speak of the devil... and out pops morningstar! (honored to appear in the review). The demon in question is indeed said by everyone to be the most beautiful, but I can't help but think that this might depend a little on personal taste. The album is actually not bad, but perhaps I prefer other chapters (my favorites so far are Moloch, Malphas, Orobas, Balan, and Astaroth). The Bar Kokhba are a supergroup, with all the advantages but also the limitations of a supergroup (let's say they are a bit like the lounge music version of Masada). Their live performance from the Birthday celebration series is also beautiful. Chapter ten was released before chapter nine: could there be a cabalistic explanation?? Sulfurous greetings & also sulfuric.

Great album. Even the daughter Bebel is very talented.
Albert Ayler Trio Spiritual Unity

I tried to listen to Albert Ayler, but I never managed to appreciate him. I plan to give it another shot in the future. By the way, I believe he was an important influence for one of my favorite guitarists (Marc Ribot).

Great album indeed, I got it right when it was released in 2001. It's been a while since I last listened to it.

Raymond Queneau's book is nothing short of amazing (like practically all of his novels, by the way). I don't know about the film...
