Dear Chicolini & Hal, indeed Django's approach is more than revolutionary when considering the role of the guitar in jazz, which until then had been rather marginal, excluding Charlie Christian and Eddie Lang.... Compiling a list of the 10 most influential jazz musicians from the early 20th century to the early '70s, unfortunately, and with great regret, I think he would be left out. Thank you I lOVE mUSIc for the suggestion of the box set.
