John Zorn, Koby Israelite Orobas, Book Of Angels Vol. 4
Voto:
@thirdeye: for example, you can start with "the circle makers," which is a rather varied double CD; in one of the discs, there's the Masada String Trio, and in the other, Masada as a chamber orchestra. Alternatively, you can get "Sanhedrin," which contains studio recordings of the original Masada quartet (this one in particular if you want to know Zorn's jazz side).
Michel Portal Minneapolis

"Blow up" with Galliano is indeed a great album, and this one also looks promising from the samples. The hip hop influences are fun. By the way, I temporarily live in Minneapolis, so it seems tailor-made for me.
Herbie Hancock Mwandishi - Fat Albert Rotunda

I don't know these two, I agree that "headhunters" is essential. Out of curiosity, if you know "sextant," what do you think? It really seems out there to me. Hey ;)
Serge Gainsbourg Aux Armes Et Caetera

In parentheses, I don't think it can be defined as "riding the wave," I believe that when this album came out, hardly anyone was listening to reggae in France yet.

Rather nice disc, but I won't give it five stars (after all, that genius Gainsbourg has produced far greater masterpieces). This is the first of the two Gainsbourg Reggae albums, the other is Mavoise Novelles dall' Etoilles, excuse my maccherone French. The reggae version of La Marseillaise is way too funny; we should do it too with the Inno di Mameli, they're ahead on these things in France. But you know how it is, we have 4 World Cups (****), they only have 1 (*).
The Oscar Peterson Big 6 At Montreux

I had no idea it existed, cribbio joe pass + oscar peterson + milt jackson, thanks for the tip Symbad.
Frank Zappa Waka/Jawaka

I agree too, this and the wazoo are stratospheric. And hot rats is no joke either.
Stan Getz Bossas And Ballads: The Lost Sessions
Voto:
But how beautiful is Bossa Nova? I was just listening to "Getz-Gilberto," one of the cornerstones, recommended to everyone.
Georges Brassens La mauvaise réputation

And then I also have my headphones, and Dylan doesn't need to tell me whether I like something or not :DDD.
Georges Brassens La mauvaise réputation

Dylan is kind not to everyone, but to those who always praise him. In fact, with critics, Dylan has never been kind; take "The Ballad of the Thin Man," and it's the perfect way to celebrate the stupidity of a critic and preserve its memory for centuries to come. Or "Idiot Wind," those are the arguments with his wife scattered to the four winds. Anyway, I reiterate that Dylan has always been exceedingly kind to those who have praised him, while conversely, he has always been obsessively bitter towards those who have attacked him.
