Piero Ciampi Andare Camminare Lavorare
Voto:
Simply out of this world. I got my hands on this collection and another one with a sunflower on the cover, titled simply "Piero Ciampi." But what I'd really like is the complete works... for example, I'm interested in the song plagiarized by Zucchero, the one with "the raging sea at sunset," etc. Does anyone know anything about it? Or do I have to hunt through flea markets and buy the vinyls (which I think would cost a fortune...)

this is really a great album indeed, and I don't give a damn about what that idiot Polillo writes, what a big fool that guy is....

Marco Poletti, you know I've found you likable? You wrote a good review of a bad record this time.
John Zorn, Koby Israelite Orobas, Book Of Angels Vol. 4

If you're looking for something black metal, you'll be disappointed. However, there are also a lot of metal influences in there; in reality, it's a big mix of many things, from funk to jazz to grindcore to progressive to gypsy.

One of the few I’m missing by Waits, I need to take care of it. Good review.

This album is really cool, I borrowed it the other day and it hasn’t left the player yet. Do you know if there are any others in the same vein?? Bye.
Cibelle The Shine Of Dried Electric Leaves
Voto:
I had listened to just one track by Cibelle in a Brazilian mix collection and I liked it a lot. If she also does covers of Waits and Veloso in this, I'm even more intrigued. Thank you, Odra, for the tip (how do you know so much?).
Kurt Weill Die Dreigroschenoper (Opera da Tre Soldi)

Wonderful review, Mister Fusillo. I only listened to the work "Tre soldi" in the English version, being ignorant of the German language. Nevertheless, considering that the text was written by Bertolt Brecht in German, it must be even better.
The Carl Stalling Project Music From Warner Bros. Cartoons 1936/1958
Voto:
Starling has indeed been a true innovator, often underestimated by many. Zorn owes him a great deal (in much of his work, from "Spillane" to "Naked City" to certain chapters of the "Filmworks" series, not to mention his classical music pieces; it's no coincidence that one of the most accessible collections is titled "Cartoon S & M"). The unbearable lightness of cartoons. I must say that listening to this music without seeing the images of the cartoons is curious—it leaves a lot of space for the listener's imagination.

I agree with Odradek that Masada 3 is one of the most beautiful (however, "Sanhedrin" is kind of a best of the Masada studio series made with alternate takes of the pieces, and as a double CD packed with stuff, I think it has the same price as Masada 3, which is also a bit hard to find...). Another good one to start with is also "Masada guitars," with Masada pieces arranged for solo guitar in the style of Segovia.
