Have you seen the video for "Money for dope" by Daniele Luttazzi? It looks like it's been taken straight from the Residents' video style...

Magnificent album indeed and truly genius. What else do you recommend from the Residents? I see they have quite an extensive discography; should I stick to the 70s period or venture further ahead?

Duke Ellington Three Suites

Honestly, classical music and non-classical music, improvised rock and not, Derek Bailey, Henry Cow, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Bach and company, there's a nice de gustibus. I write as an ignorant when it comes to classical music and only wanted to describe some impressions that classical music evokes in me, which at times seems a bit musty. As for the interpretative nuances of the various performers, I am ignorant and have never been able to grasp them. I would like to point out that improvisation was a common practice in baroque music and that there are, I believe, written testimonies that Bach himself excelled in it. In fact, I agree that the review came out quite badly and that the only good part is the plagiarism from Dylan.

Really great film, indeed.

I am reminded of Abatantuono in Fantozzi: she resembles Donatella Erections, the one from Splendidi & Splendenti.
John Zorn Six Litanies For Heliogabalus

You can find a lot of live material on Zorn on YouTube, also searching for Masada or Naked City. I recommend: Naked City, Radio, Bar Kokhba, The Circle Maker, Gimel, Orobas, Taboo and Exile, The Gift, Filmworks 1, 7, 13, 17, The Big Gundown, Spillane, At the Mountains of Madness (Electric Masada). There are many other great ones, but these already provide a vast sampling.

I haven't seen the movie, but I like the idea.
