What a great tip, odradek, this Cathy Berberian is truly enchanting! Thank you.
Tom Waits Bone Machine

The album is stunning. These are difficult albums to review; as Tom says, it's like catching a sparrow. In this review, it feels like all you have left in your hands are just the feathers.
Miles Davis Quiet nights
Voto:
Well, the other 3 Miles albums with Gil Evans are all great records: Porgy and Bess, Sketches of Spain, and Miles Ahead. I don't know this one at all.
Erik Mongrain Fates

I don't know, from the YouTube sample it really seems too new age to me, even though it has good technique. I don't like it at all, though.
Bruce Palmer The Cycle is Complete

Truly mind-blowing, thanks for the tip.

Both the review and the samples are very interesting. I'll note them down, and then we'll see.

I don't know you, but you've piqued my curiosity quite a bit.
John Zorn The Gift

Thank you for the link Bisius!, really a great solo by Marc Ribot (if you don't know him, I also recommend Marc Ribot and Los Cubanos Postizos: Marc Ribot y los Cubanos Postizos - Aurora en Pekin I see that you're also on the right track of the Zorn addiction...
John Zorn Filmworks VII: Cynical Hysterie Hour

Hi Bisius, I see you’re getting cultured about zorn, good good!! In fact, Maya Deren is also good. Among my favorite films from the series filmwork are 13 invitation to a suicide, 12 with shaolin ulysses, 5 tears of ecstasy, and 1 in which Robert Quine plays a lot, who is a great guitarist.
