Sorry, but the Sanremese "Charlie fa surf" feels like I've already heard it; I mean, it seems like a melody I've encountered before, maybe a tiny little plagiarism. Does anyone have something in mind? I can't think of anything, and I don't remember "Gli altri siamo noi."

ah sure, there are those who see everything, those who see part of it, and those who see nothing.. you conclude.. I deleted the rest of the comment out of tenderness.

ah and I echo Poletti, up there, regarding the Oscars (like many other awards) and the movies...

It's one of my favorite movies, even though it's not a masterpiece, and this rushed review doesn't do it justice. Everyone knows the setting and the little story, especially since it won an Oscar and three David di Donatello awards. But the absurd thing is that you've managed to watch a film without seeing; the raw details aren't there because there's no war, there's no violence because the main theme is escape, any kind of escape, and war would just be a pretext. And then how can we talk about "actors of that caliber"? It's truly ridiculous; they might be likable, but they're not actors—they're just playing themselves in any movie. And what sweetness? Rather, there's bitterness and melancholy, that of a generation that is clearly not from the 40s (the era in which the film is set) but from the 70s, with joints, dreams, and disappointments, sprinkled with a bit of hope.

Great "Juju," but I prefer the next one (if I'm not mistaken) "Speak No Evil," even further from Coltrane..Well done Dolphy.
