I've noticed something as clear as the fact that the ball is round: here, opinions on Linkin Park change depending on the gender of the commentators.

I am not a hardcore metal enthusiast. I just wanted to compare "CC" with the other works of this rabble, and then with those of even distant cousins (Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, P.O.D., ...uh, uh...Metallica, the "electropop"...). Ah, remember Kiki, you only like Linkin because of that "hottie" (for you, of course!) Chester. And that as an MC they should replace Mike with a lesbian instead.

ABOUT-FACE! I believe that here the only serious and sincere comment is that of the one who signs as Jennifer Lopez ("In fact, it was unthinkable to write seriously...").

Maybe if they replaced Jon Davis's vocalizations (I take it back, they were NOT exactly rap) in a remix album with the lyrics of the most trashy hip hop tracks from recent years, "Korn" would be much more liked... anyway, it remains what it is.

Given the proverbial rudeness of your reviews, and the same with which you've forgotten mine and manage the site, please GO FUCK YOURSELVES (literally) along with the "purists" of metal.

I wasn't able to send you my review. So I'm trying like this:
"When it was released at the end of 2004, music journalists praised it as 'a surprising blend of metal and rap.' In reality, that's true only 50 percent of the time; the songs are awful, and Linkin Park are already too much into rapping, with a rather skilled and likable DJ (Joseph Hahn) and an MC (Mike Shinoda) who leaves no mark and acts far more important than any Fred Durst.
'Collision Course' is the worst musical trash I've ever heard and the third and final demonstration (after 'Reanimation' and 'Live In Texas') of Linkin Park's almost total lack of creativity, especially from their annoying rapper and producer. Perhaps Shinoda was already thinking about Fort Minor back then, but instead of anticipating them by writing new tracks with Jay-Z, he mixes hits from his 'Black Album' with those of his band, resulting in tacky and horrifying remixes.
The tracks? 'Big Pimpin'/Papercut,' 'Numb/Encore,' and 'IZZO/In The End,' pseudo hip hop tracks with arrangements that make you want to vomit; the covers of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder' and '99 Problems,' which sound like gangsta caricatures of Metallica and Papa Roach; and 'Jigga What/Faint,' useless and cloying compared to 'Faint/Toxic' (already online and created by MTV itself), a fun Linkin diversion on Britney Spears' single."
