I reread Charley's review and want to intervene again to thank RenèMartin for his timely observations. I recommend to all jazz lovers the pages that Geoff Dyer wrote in NATURA MORTA CON CUSTODIA DI SAX, INSTAR LIBRI EDITORE. AMALTEO

I am discovering this musician and this is a useful and intriguing review. Thank you.
Matt Elliott Drinking Songs
Voto:
Matt Elliott is really good. Very good. The review captures the type of music well. It seems to me that he has only released two albums so far: Enkrist, keep me updated on this page about new releases! Kurks is beautiful, but The Guilty Party and The Maid We Messed are even more so, in my taste of course. He seems like a niche artist, certainly not for mainstream success. One more reason to pursue him.
John Fahey America
Voto:
Fahey's way of playing the guitar (1939—sadly 2001) is simply exceptional. I share the enthusiasm of godbowl and the other debaserian friends. Thank you for remembering him.

Ok. Thank you. Record to find and listen to. I like the review.
Mike Oldfield Amarok
Voto:
Hi Hal. Yes, I’ve heard it. It's a good record. With those hooks and stitches he does really well between the various pieces. Difficult, especially in a one-hour continuous piece. And then it's compatible with ears less accustomed to tolerating dissonances in music. Really a useful tip on sconocchini. Thanks again.
Jolie Holland Springtime Can Kill You

beautiful suggestion. thank you. the voice is strong and the sounds as well. I love norah jones even more (provided that, in your opinion, you consider her comparable). but now she is part of the musical pantheon suggested in this living room of debaser friends. I'll always keep an eye on you. until next time.

nice to see you again, hal! yes, great advice. Piero Ciampi ...? think: I know very little. I believe it's one of my big flaws. It seems well highlighted on your blog. I'm also listening to Amarok by Mike Oldfield. Discovered through a review from these days. Great album this too. bye. until we read again.

I found and heard memoires du futur mentioned by Hal on June 1, 2006. It's truly beautiful. Open to the world like the other albums. Indeed, the final track "Ha tutte le carte in regola" is special! Regards.
