Giacomo Leopardi Canti
Voto:
One of my professors used to say that Leopardi, more than a pessimist, was downright terrible. Maybe so, but among the great 19th-century Italian poets, he is the one I feel most connected to in terms of content and Weltanschauung. Am I terrible too? Who knows.
Ornella Vanoni Duemilatrecentouno Parole
Voto:
The "sciura" doesn't appeal to me and her voice becomes grating after a while, but this album is remarkable, with several songs that earn applause. It starts strong ("Musica musica") and ends even better ("E Gino risponde").
Björk Biophilia
Voto:
To be honest, I respect her but she makes me drowsy.
Sun Ra Space Is the Place

Good job, this was missing. It actually seems relatively overlooked even on these pages. The fact that he was one of the first to exploit the potential of the Moog makes me want to delve deeper into it. On Wikipedia, I read that his discography includes 200 titles.
Constantin Costa-Gavras Amen

The ties with Nazifascism represent one of the many dark pages that the Catholic Church tries to conceal. Often, the Catholic hierarchies have turned a blind eye or two to the atrocities of right-wing dictatorships, as they served as a bulwark against the "pericolo rosso." Decades later, there has not been enough self-criticism, as evidenced by the canonizations of figures such as the Croatian Cardinal Stepinac and Escrivá de Balaguer, both closely tied to the fascist regimes of their respective countries.
Poker Italia 24 Palinsesto Quotidiano
Voto:
I wouldn't mind a live broadcast from the Sport bar of some remote village in the deep North of a match of scopone scientifico in pairs: Bepi Tega-Nani Onto vs. Toni Boia-Piero Porseo.
Poker Italia 24 Palinsesto Quotidiano

Essentially in agreement with what was written in comments no. 24 and no. 25: poker can be an intelligent pastime, but elevating it to obsession takes away the fun. As for the moralistic judgment, poker is not the only way to ruin oneself.
Lucio Fulci Zombi 3
Voto:
In the last years of his career, Fulci had to struggle with health issues, creative problems, and budget constraints. This film is a glaring example of that. The presence of Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragasso only adds to the confusion. Moreover, it seems that some actors involved in the film mutinied against the director, playing pranks inspired by his most splatter films (fake worms in the pipe, if I remember...). In short, given everything that happened on and off the set, it's a cult classic.
Wynton Marsalis & Eric Clapton Play The Blues
Voto:
I'm not a big fan of the two, but it must be a really beautiful record. I'm curious to hear "Layla" dressed in brass.
The Bee Gees Living Eyes
Voto:
Great review, respectable album. It wasn't easy for the Bee Gees to shake off the disco group image that came with the incredible success of the late '70s. However, I prefer "The Visitors."
