In my opinion, Steinbeck's best. The film adaptation is also remarkable, if I recall correctly with Henry Fonda.

Rather dispensable album, definitely well below the quality standards of Tagliapietra & Co., but above much of the contemporary Italian production. Certainly the least suitable record to get an idea of Le Orme. From "Venerdì" (or aka "Biancaneve") I’ve heard 4-5 tracks and they seemed more than decent (in absolute terms), and I feel the same about the songs presented at Sanremo (more than good "Marinai", fair, albeit too plasticky, "Dimmi che cos'è"). The single "Rosso di Sera/Sahara," on the other hand, is abominable, definitely the lowest point of their career.
