I bought it next month, and I have to say it was one of the most useless purchases I’ve ever made, because I found it rich in interesting insights, within its methodical and illogical structure. Genius, as banal as it may sound, the idea of the ghost track of 43 minutes and 17 seconds at the beginning, which allows you to hear the entire work played backward at alternate speeds (16, 33, 45, 78, 99 RPM) and the innovation of the pop-up track (a ghost track in the middle of some songs).

Maybe with a few less songs it would have been perfect, but there are "E-bow the letter," "Leave," and "Electrolite," and that's enough to give it a 5. The next album, "Up!," would be their last great record, imho.

For me, this album was a pleasant surprise, even though I initially found it less engaging compared to "Out Of Time." It's one of those albums that you appreciate more and more with each listen. For me, the masterpiece is "Find The River," a truly moving track.

Great review, well done. I didn't remember the experience with Gregorio Alicata. Among the albums of the early Battiato (the pre-wild boar ones), I place it on the podium, just behind "Sulle corde di Aries" and "Pollution."
