Roger Taylor Fun In Space
Voto:
Nice review. I have never gotten to listen to anything from Taylor's solo work, but something tells me it deserves a re-evaluation, especially in light of what his celebrated band was producing at the same time (the "Horror Trilogy": "Flash Gordon," "Hot Space," and "The Works").

Excellent review, the result of taste and expertise. Unfortunately, I only know a bit about their production after the 1980s.
Bob Dylan Christmas in the Heart
Voto:
I am a detractor of Christmas songs (except perhaps "Happy Xmas" and "Peace on Earth" and the pieces by EELST) and especially of Christmas albums. Therefore, I will refrain from purchasing this little work. That said, the "sui generis" interpretation by Bob Dylan and the cover, which reminds me so much of Soviet realism (seen from a distance, the man whipping the horses looks a bit like Peppone Stalin!), give it all a trashy value.

Never loved excessively This Pathetic Youngster Dandy. I appreciate the triptych Strada Fscendo - La vita è adesso - Oltre, in which he demonstrated that he has ideas and the courage to challenge himself; he did something good even before, also thanks to producers with real skills (Antonio Coggio and especially Vangelis), and after, but this album is as useless as a paper pot. If he had had Bocelli sing Porta Portese and the title track for Vasco Rossi after a drink of Tavernello, it would have been an interesting trash artifact.

Alex Britti is the Madonna of Fatima of Italian songwriting. His three secrets: 1- Why does he prefer to be a terrible songwriter rather than a good guitarist? 2- What has he written that is remarkable? 3- Who buys his records?

What beautiful reviews I read this morning: Cohen, Capossela, Laura Nyro... and I’m streaming the Velvet Underground...

I listened to it only once, and not even in its entirety. Some tracks I liked quite a lot (Ovunque proteggi).
Leonard Cohen Field Commander Cohen - Tour of 1979

The best live album by Leonard Cohen... a must-have!
