I have read about him "The Misadventures of Virtue," a remarkable allegory on fate that disregards intentions, reserving the worst disasters for the virtuous and pious Justine, and great fortunes for her wicked and corrupted sister. It is a shame that he is remembered more for his perversions than for his literary talent.

I was among those who got it because I was drawn in by "Le vent nous portera." The rest was a pleasant surprise. Refined lyrics and original music, although not the easiest to grasp, and above all, Cantat's unique style. The entire album is a gem, with standout tracks like "Des armes" and "Lost." "L'Europe" is truly a piece apart, especially for Brigitte Fontaine's declamations, as she recites surreal slogans and lucid delirium for most of the track.
