Franco Battiato Juke Box
Voto:
Among the three albums recorded for Ricordi, perhaps the most accessible one (perhaps because the tracks are generally shorter). The best piece is definitely Hiver (which marks Battiato's return to the song form), but I also find Telegrafi interesting (a heartbreaking violin solo by Giusto Pio, here in his first collaboration with Battiato, which closes the album). However, what I like most about the album is the title (which apparently has nothing to do with the content of the record, or perhaps it’s a sardonic allusion to the fact that it was a commissioned work) and the cover illustration by Antonio Ballista (which has even less to do with it).
Brian May Back To The Light

Good review. He is a good guitarist, often at the service of a mediocre repertoire like that of Mercury & Co. I remember little of the album, but nonetheless that little I heard seems better than the horrors produced by Queen throughout the previous decade.
Beppe Fenoglio La Paga Del Sabato
Voto:
I have read Fenoglio's "Partigiano Johnny" and "La malora," which struck me for their unusual character, both linguistically and in their approach to resistance themes. I don't know this one, for now, I have "Una questione privata" on my list.

Great overview, even though I don't practice the genre much.
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis The Road

I haven't heard it, nor have I seen the film, but I believe that the music can enhance the images.
Electric Light Orchestra Eldorado: A Symphony by the Electric Light Orchestra

Great review. Among all the ELO works you've mentioned so far, this one seems the most interesting.
Kylie Minogue Aphrodite

In its category, perhaps the least bad. It has shown it can do other things, the problem is that it doesn't.
Fripp & Eno The Equatorial Stars

It goes beyond my lexical-syntactic-linguistic comprehension, like certain accounts of union meetings.
