The Beatles at the time entertained and had a great time, although the best was yet to come. This Live is a valuable testimony: other contemporary recordings are often barely listenable, not due to the Beatles, but because of the deafening enthusiasm that accompanied every public performance of theirs. Pet Sounds is a great album.
