THE REVIEW

First album after the passing of an artist who wrote the history of what we call music. Frank Vincent Zappa in this album leaves us with compositions with a capital C... this album, Civilization, picks up the discourse left in suspense with "The Yellow Shark" and highlights its darker and more obsessive side.

Uncle Frank's compositions reach the heart of any music listener, even those who do not love classical music (like me!) and literally open your ears, especially if you are used to listening to ROCK as it is traditionally understood. The first question that spontaneously arises is: but is Zappa the one of the crazy little songs (so to speak), is he that freaky mustached madman who, along with his incredible band, manages to put together literally monstrous albums with screams, shouts, raspberries, speeches, and unsettling noises; or is he the one who conducts an orchestra?

Zappa is all of this, but he is even more! Zappa is the modern conception of music all-around, absolute music and tremendously current...

indeed, music of the future...
