The only album by DS that I'm missing... I didn't get it because it sounds like the studio tracks.

An excellent album, but a step below the previous ones, with some essential tracks (the title track and "Money For Nothing," but also "Man's too Strong," a somewhat underrated song that I appreciate for its lyrics and the dobro performance) and some less successful ones ("Your Latest Trick" has never particularly appealed to me, just like "Ride Across The River"). In my opinion, they should have stopped here.

The review deserved more care. The C.C.R. may not have brought anything new (someone described them as "the press office of the '50s in the '60s"), but they produced records of extreme professionalism and clarity, and, indeed, I don't find any bad songs in their repertoire.

For years I haven't read anything by Lovecraft anymore, but I recognize him as one of the most brilliant authors in his genre, especially for his skill in creating claustrophobic and inescapable dimensions.
