I haven't taken sides... I've never supported either Dodi or others, but if a guitarist, who might not be mediocre, has to take 20 years to learn that intro, why?...

Even simple compositions can be beautiful... just as complex compositions can turn out to be pompous and not very "melodic" (as is the case with many tracks by Dream Theater)... it seems to me that the discussion has taken on the aspect of a quarrel between football fanbases... but aside from the list of enormous nonsense I've read (and maybe just written), the prejudice is evident when Matt7 writes: "Put DODI to do paradigm Shift by Liquid Tension Experiment... and then we'll talk in 20 years when he manages to play the intro of that song...", it’s a prejudice, yes because he doesn't understand why Dodi, who may not be one of the best in the world, but he's not just anyone either, should take 20 years just to learn the intro... you want to defend your reasons, but do it wisely and fairly...

I never really "knew" (could) love this album, discovered a few years after its release, because in '76 I was still a kid, mesmerized by those 16 million copies sold... but I don't know, maybe I was too caught up in the two great live albums of my adolescence, "The Song Remains the Same" by Led Zeppelin and "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple, and it seemed like bland rock to me... however, in hindsight, I think it deserves a different approach; I haven't listened to it in over 20 years...

Symbad, sorry, your clarifications are not clear to me. Do you think "The Melody at Night with You" is excellent and find "The Köln Concert" not very successful?... aside from Jarrett's remarks about Köln and the piano in poor condition, I say, and obviously it’s just my opinion, that "The Köln Concert" is among the most beautiful things I have ever heard... and I listen, appreciating "Bregenz"; "Paris Concert"; "La Scala" very much... Happy Easter to everyone...

Hey Symbad, do you know any music... great review, but more heart, more heart... this album is grand... I didn't understand what you meant when you mentioned "Keith Jarrett" a bit earlier, I need to send you a message, can I?...

too soon I understood that time is a scam, it was of no use, however, to discover it... nostalgia has always been my companion, sweet and bitter, terribly painful... now I search for that boy I once was, but I truly cannot find him, he flutters somewhere out there, but I can't swear to it... I'll listen to this album, nice review...

Socrates, only physical, or both physical and mental? Where by mental decay I don’t mean "senile dementia," but rather a contentment that brings about cloudiness and loss of "motivation, courage, inspiration"... it would be enough that he now writes those very noisy texts in Italian and talks almost only (banally) about love...
