Francesco Guccini Quello Che Non...
Voto:
So many memories with Guccini's albums, this is one of the ones I've listened to the least, I prefer his earlier works. Anyway, in my opinion, he is not the most Dylan-esque of Italian singer-songwriters; he is the only true Dylan-esque one. Bennato is too popular to be one, and De Gregori, I don't know... he's different from American folk... De André, on the other hand, while being part of this school, rises too far above to withstand any comparison.

I remember that a friend of mine let me listen to it, and she presented it to me as a record "illuminated" by a beautiful inner light. Listening to it, I then agreed with her. The only album by this artist that I know well... it gave me moments of peace and beauty... stunning.

More than completely exhaustive reviews, I enjoy those that leave you wanting more... that hint at the unsaid, that don't try to say it all... but leave the listener eager to discover the album. Too rational for my taste... but really well done...

Yes, in fact, it could also fit among the minimalists... but oh well, details... thanks to everyone for the vote... and also for not voting...

I agree on everything except for the epic and the legendary... stunning album... and damn, you can't compare this to the rest of Mogwai's discography, there's a legendary string quartet and a musical genius that overshadow the, albeit extraordinary, band... I haven't seen the film... although I've heard it being talked about in less than flattering terms... but the soundtrack is amazing... beautiful... and a great review, concise and effective.

Anyway, trickykid, also the Zo at the chimneys is a big attraction for great bands... by the way, soon the Neon will be there... are you going?

I haven't been able to get it yet... but I've heard good things about it. "Enchantment" is the right word to describe the emotions stirred by their music, one of the most original bands of recent times; even though Takk made me fear a dip in quality, I hope they've bounced back with this new work that I still have to savor...

trickykid you're right, I was only referring to the concert hall... and those who go aren't exactly alternative... the taxi has truly made history for rock events in our area... I saw the Inti Illimani there...
