Orson Welles L'Infernale Quinlan

And who is Bertarelli? (I’m not joking, I don’t know who you’re referring to) ..but more importantly, why confused? And even more so, why should I know as much about cinema as a cow? Just for an opinion? ARE YOU SCARED of opinions Poletti, ignorant and godless? :-D

Welles is someone who made it on his own by scaring half of America with his little tale about Martians. For this, Welles got the famous contract that allowed him, in Citizen Kane, to even use the coffee machine (and no wonder, at that point he could afford all sorts of experimental trinkets). Now, Welles may be a great director, but to me, he seems more like a clever manipulator (of critics, first and foremost), or rather, especially a clever manipulator. Eisenstein wouldn’t waste his time on such nonsense. He never lost sight of the END of how he told the story. Not like this fat, shitty walrus... ;-D

this is TRULY one of the greatest films ever made. The common denominator in the comments you've shared above, Nick, seems to be a lack of understanding of a fundamental point: namely, that this is not simply a war film, but rather a reflection on existence that unfolds through one of the most tragically paroxysmal experiences that a human can endure. I haven't seen The New World; almost everyone has told me it's a disappointment compared to the usual Malick. Badlands is another beautiful film.

Not a bad record, I liked it.. more than hardcore, it seems to me like proto-emo filtered through shoegaze sensitivity... maybe the only problem is that it has codified a type of "emotional" melody so heavily plundered in the years that followed by not-so-essential groups that today it feels more outdated than it deserves. But in my opinion, for when it came out, it remains a decent bomb.

Hi and thanks everyone! Sorry for the "complexity," which was only partly intentional... I certainly don't want to end up like Giona A. Nazzaro, who does film reviews that make absolutely no sense. I don't know, I wrote it in one go, but aside from that reference to "antipositivism" :-D I wouldn't say it's that complex... Regarding Trucido: some points were reasoned through, but in others, I think they just jammed too much out of their heads (maybe with the pleasant help of some substance that always goes well)... they're just too much of a jam musician. As for Reverse: it does provide some reference points (because, as I said, there's always a theme), but it's the way they evolve that, in my opinion, doesn't provide any references.
