Attention, though... The Cure, as Robert Smith himself stated, have never even defined themselves as "Dark"... Perhaps the pop component has always been present (even if less explicitly)? After all, let's not forget their debut album, "Fire in Cairo" and "Boys Don't Cry," which predate the trilogy... and even in the trilogy, are tracks like "Play for Today," "Primary," or the same "Hanging Garden" (as well as, for example, "Strange Day") so totally dark? I don't know, but I still have some doubts regarding your distinction, Joser...

Yes, anonymous, I've already listened to it and it's regularly on the bulletin board "lookinglasself" ; ). Certainly more epochal, but overall I've always preferred this one.. Congratulations on the very precise note!

Sorry, but wasn't there already another one after "fat of the land"? The one with "Baby's got a temper," to be precise..

Great clarification: bootlegs for fans not for collectors.. it's true. Have you heard that PJ have become the band with the most albums in history?

I completely agree with you.

Well, this comment is at least more interesting: when we talk about substance, we mean a group capable of creating something new, modern, personal, and even better, innovative, if not original. It’s no coincidence that in psychology, "divergent" thinking, that is, creative thinking, is the ability to solve problems (problems, of course, understood in a broad sense, including artistic ones) using new, original, unusual, unconventional, not yet used, and unbound strategies. In short, until proven otherwise, scientifically speaking, creativity corresponds (almost) entirely to originality. Now, given these premises, it’s easy to arrive at the depressing conclusions regarding the group in question... ;)

"The majority wins"?! AH AH AH what nonsense! Why do you always bring such poor arguments into your statements? There’s nothing logical in music about saying the majority wins; as I’ve already said, following this criterion, the most popular bands, namely those that sell the most, should be the best.. Which is obviously false.. "common sense gives the majority in favor of what’s right"??!! UHUHUHAHAHAH.. this one is even better.. Please, don’t get into these "philosophical" discussions.. I think you have nothing to gain from it..

Dear anonymous above: no, it’s not the same thing; if you shoot off any nonsense like that (and please, don’t do it again! At least not with arguments like that), you’re shooting it out there, aimless; but the fundamental difference is that in my review I backed up my statements by providing some arguments in support; whether you agree or not is another matter;

What the hell do I know? I don't know, maybe nothing, but I've listened to all the albums (except the latest, and that's why I haven't reviewed it) and so I've shared what I've heard. Given the celebration that surrounds this band, I might have emphasized things a bit, but I fully stand by everything I've said so far.
